Overview

How fast is your Turkcell connection really?

Turkcell is one of Turkey's leading mobile operators with broad 4.5G coverage; in 2026 it became one of the operators to start offering commercial 5G and continues expanding from major cities. On the fixed side, service runs over the Turkcell Superonline fiber network. On this page you can measure the real download, upload and latency of both your mobile (4.5G/5G) and your Superonline fiber connection.

On mobile, the result varies widely with signal strength, cell congestion and the bands your device supports. On fixed fiber the result is far more stable. For a fair comparison, test mobile from a fixed spot and test fiber while connected to the modem by cable.

Why it varies

Factors that affect internet speed

Wi-Fi or cable?

On Wi-Fi, signal strength, distance and interference reduce speed. A wired (Ethernet) connection reveals your line's true capacity.

Infrastructure and distance

Fiber speed is distance-independent; VDSL/ADSL drops with distance from the exchange. On mobile, signal and cell congestion dominate.

Device and modem

An old network card, weak CPU or a non-Gigabit modem becomes a bottleneck on high-tier plans.

Simultaneous usage

Downloads, streaming and gaming on other devices share the same line and lower your measured speed.

Peak hours

Evenings (8 PM-midnight) are peak; local node or international link congestion can cause minor drops.

Server distance and latency

The test server's distance affects ping (latency) and jitter. NETMETRİK selects the nearest high-capacity server.

Accurate testing

How to measure your speed correctly

  1. 1If possible, connect your computer to the modem with an Ethernet cable; Wi-Fi can show a result below the line.
  2. 2Pause downloads, streaming and updates on other devices so only the test uses the line.
  3. 3Turn off any VPN/proxy and 'data saver' mode in your browser or operating system.
  4. 4Close other tabs, press the START button at the top of the page, and avoid other activity until the measurement finishes.
  5. 5Take several measurements at different times, save them, and compare the average against your plan speed.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Turkcell speed test

Why does my Turkcell mobile speed fluctuate?

Mobile speed depends on your location, signal strength, congestion at your serving cell, and the frequency bands your device supports. Testing where the signal is strong (near a window or outdoors) gives a higher result.

How do I test Turkcell home internet speed?

Turkcell home internet runs on Superonline fiber. For the most accurate result, connect your computer to the modem with an Ethernet cable, pause heavy traffic on other devices, and press START below.
