Overview

How fast is your Turkcell Superonline connection really?

Turkcell Superonline is one of the leading fixed-line providers operating its own extensive fiber network in Turkey. At addresses with fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) it offers plans from 100 Mbps up to 1000 Mbps (1 Gbps); where fiber is unavailable it also provides VDSL and ADSL (standalone internet) options. The key advantage of fiber is that speed is unaffected by distance to the exchange and latency (ping) stays low and stable.

In 2026 Superonline announced "UltraFiber" home fiber tiers up to 10 Gbps (2/5/10 Gbps); on premium plans it states it offers Wi-Fi 7 and in-room fiber (FTTR). On these top tiers upload is stated to reach up to 1 Gbps; on standard residential plans upload sits in the 20-50 Mbps range. Confirm plan details with Superonline.

The test on this page opens multiple connections from your browser straight to the nearest high-capacity HIZTESTI server and measures download, upload, ping, jitter and bufferbloat with the same methodology as Speedtest. Comparing the result against your Superonline plan's committed speed shows exactly what you are really getting.

To see the full speed on high tiers such as 1 Gbps, a wired (Gigabit Ethernet) connection, a modern computer and an up-to-date browser are essential; getting a result below the line over Wi-Fi is normal. To measure true line performance, connect to the modem with a cable.

Why it varies

Factors that affect internet speed

Wi-Fi or cable?

On Wi-Fi, signal strength, distance and interference reduce speed. A wired (Ethernet) connection reveals your line's true capacity.

Infrastructure and distance

Fiber speed is distance-independent; VDSL/ADSL drops with distance from the exchange. On mobile, signal and cell congestion dominate.

Device and modem

An old network card, weak CPU or a non-Gigabit modem becomes a bottleneck on high-tier plans.

Simultaneous usage

Downloads, streaming and gaming on other devices share the same line and lower your measured speed.

Peak hours

Evenings (8 PM-midnight) are peak; local node or international link congestion can cause minor drops.

Server distance and latency

The test server's distance affects ping (latency) and jitter. NETMETRİK selects the nearest high-capacity server.

Accurate testing

How to measure your speed correctly

  1. 1If possible, connect your computer to the modem with an Ethernet cable; Wi-Fi can show a result below the line.
  2. 2Pause downloads, streaming and updates on other devices so only the test uses the line.
  3. 3Turn off any VPN/proxy and 'data saver' mode in your browser or operating system.
  4. 4Close other tabs, press the START button at the top of the page, and avoid other activity until the measurement finishes.
  5. 5Take several measurements at different times, save them, and compare the average against your plan speed.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Turkcell Superonline speed test

Why can't I see 1 Gbps on my Superonline 1000 Mbps plan?

Seeing the full 1 Gbps requires a Gigabit Ethernet cable, a Gigabit-capable modem/network card and a capable computer. Over Wi-Fi, on older devices or with single-connection tests, getting a result below the line is normal. HIZTESTI uses multiple connections to get as close as possible to the line's true capacity.

Why is my Superonline upload limited to 20-50 Mbps?

Superonline residential plans are asymmetric: download is high while upload is lower (20 or 50 Mbps depending on the plan). This is a normal configuration designed for home use. Symmetric/business products exist for upload-heavy workloads.

What's the difference between Superonline fiber and VDSL?

With fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) the signal reaches your home as light; speed is unaffected by distance, latency is low and plans up to 1 Gbps are possible. With VDSL the last stretch is copper; speed drops with distance from the exchange and is usually capped at 100 Mbps. Confirm which one serves your address with Superonline.

My Superonline speed drops in the evening — is that normal?

Evening hours (8 PM-midnight) are peak usage; minor drops can occur due to local node or international link congestion. If the drop is large and persistent, take several measurements at different times, save the results, and share them with Superonline support.
