Overview
How fast is your Millenicom connection really?
Millenicom is an independent ISP known for affordable tariffs; it builds no last mile of its own and delivers service over wholesale fiber/VDSL infrastructure providers, chiefly Türk Telekom's. Your real speed depends on the infrastructure type at your address (fiber or VDSL) and your plan; the measured result shows your line's true performance regardless of the underlying carrier.
Plans
Millenicom plans and expected speeds
The values below are the committed speeds of typical retail plans; your real result varies with infrastructure, device and connection type.
| Plan | Download | Upload |
|---|---|---|
| Fiber 35 | 35 Mbps | 12 Mbps |
| Fiber 100 | 100 Mbps | 20 Mbps |
| Fiber 200 | 200 Mbps | 20 Mbps |
| Fiber 1000 | 1000 Mbps | 50 Mbps |
Speeds and prices are indicative and may change; confirm current plan terms with the provider.
Why it varies
Factors that affect internet speed
Wi-Fi or cable?
On Wi-Fi, signal strength, distance and interference reduce speed. A wired (Ethernet) connection reveals your line's true capacity.
Infrastructure and distance
Fiber speed is distance-independent; VDSL/ADSL drops with distance from the exchange. On mobile, signal and cell congestion dominate.
Device and modem
An old network card, weak CPU or a non-Gigabit modem becomes a bottleneck on high-tier plans.
Simultaneous usage
Downloads, streaming and gaming on other devices share the same line and lower your measured speed.
Peak hours
Evenings (8 PM-midnight) are peak; local node or international link congestion can cause minor drops.
Server distance and latency
The test server's distance affects ping (latency) and jitter. NETMETRİK selects the nearest high-capacity server.
Accurate testing
How to measure your speed correctly
- 1If possible, connect your computer to the modem with an Ethernet cable; Wi-Fi can show a result below the line.
- 2Pause downloads, streaming and updates on other devices so only the test uses the line.
- 3Turn off any VPN/proxy and 'data saver' mode in your browser or operating system.
- 4Close other tabs, press the START button at the top of the page, and avoid other activity until the measurement finishes.
- 5Take several measurements at different times, save them, and compare the average against your plan speed.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions about Millenicom speed test
Which infrastructure does Millenicom use?
Millenicom does not build its own last mile; it uses wholesale fiber/VDSL infrastructure from providers, chiefly Türk Telekom's. Your real speed therefore depends on the infrastructure at your address.
I'm getting lower speed than my Millenicom plan — what should I do?
Connect to the modem with an Ethernet cable, pause other devices and retest. Take several measurements at different times and save them; if results stay low, contact Millenicom support with these records.
